Guvernul român aprobă achiziția a 24 de rame electrice noi pentru transportul feroviar

Guvernul României a dat undă verde pentru achiziționarea a 24 de rame electrice noi, fiecare având 200 de locuri. Aceasta reprezintă prima etapă a unui proiect de investitii destinat îmbunătățirii serviciilor de transport feroviar de călători, cu scopul de a conecta centrele urbane din țară prin trenuri cu tracțiune electrică.

Costul estimat al acestei achiziții depășește 1,4 miliarde de lei, iar durata de execuție a contractului este de 38 de luni. Noile rame electrice vor îmbunătăți confortul călătorilor și vor reduce timpii de așteptare pe rutele electrificate din rețeaua feroviară publică, precum Arad - Deva - Simeria, Alba-Iulia - Cluj-Napoca și Oradea - Huedin. În plus, prin acest proiect, vor fi conectate municipiile Arad, Deva, Alba Iulia, Cluj-Napoca și Oradea.

În cadrul aceleași ședințe, Guvernul a adoptat indicatorii economici pentru achiziția a 58 de trenuri de scurt parcurs, divizate în două categorii: RE-R2 cu 200 de locuri și RE-R3 cu 160 de locuri, având valori de 1,4 miliarde lei și respectiv 1,88 miliarde lei. A doua achiziție include 34 de rame electrice RE-R2 cu 160 de locuri, care urmează să circule pe rute precum Sighișoara - Brașov, Craiova - Caracal - Roșiori de Vede, Craiova - Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Bacău - Focșani și Buzău - Brăila - Galați. Acest contract are o valoare estimată de 1,88 miliarde lei, iar livrarea trenurilor va trebui realizată în termen de 41 de luni.

Aceste achiziții constituie prima fază dintr-un plan mai amplu, care prevede achiziția a 143 de rame electrice de scurt parcurs, pe lângă cele 62 de trenuri care nu au fost obținute dintr-o colaborare anterioară cu PESA.
