Unul dintre cele mai reverate romane din lumea literară a ajuns la Hollywood prin premierele mondiale ale filmului Wuthering Heights, regizat de Emerald Fennell. Potrivit deadline.com, scriitoarea și regizoarea a pășit pe covorul roșu miercuri, la TCL Chinese Theatre, alături de membrii distribuției Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, Shazad Latif și alții, sărbătorind adaptarea romanului din 1847 al lui Emily Brontë.

De asemenea, au fost prezente și Charli XCX, Kathryn Newton, Gideon Adlon, Kate Berlant și mulți alții. Fennell a recunoscut că a luat libertăți creative, aflându-se în fața provocării de a adapta un roman atât de "dens, complicat și greu". Titlul este stilizat „Wuthering Heights” cu ghilimele deoarece "nu poți adapta o carte atât de complexă". "Nu pot spune că fac Wuthering Heights. Nu este posibil. Ce pot spune este că fac o versiune a ei", a declarat ea pentru Fandango.

Filmările vor fi lansate pe 13 februarie în teatrele din SUA și Marea Britanie; derulați pentru a vedea fotografiile de la premiera pe covorul roșu al Wuthering Heights.
